As a general rule, summer nights in New York tend to be very fun and anxiously expected by -almost- everyone. I bet as in any other cold-wintered cities is all about spending the most time outdoors to compensate for the rest of the year.
New York is beyond the skyscrapers and the pretty lights, is a mix of people from every country you can think of, creating a sub-culture and interchanging ideas. When after the hectic routine of the big city, you have the time to spend with friends and family, one must ensure it will be quality time well spent.
